Dream House - Deco Studio

Ever wanted to add more of your own personal touch to the buildings on your farm? Place and use the new Deco Studio for the chance to build your dream house and place it on your farm! 

You should be prompted with a window to place a Workshop on your farm. If you don’t see this window, you can also access Deco Studio from the market by clicking “Create” on the building type you want to construct:

When you place your workshop, you will have three options:

• Look Inside: Takes you to Deco Studio
• Move: Relocate your workshop on your farm
• Sell: Sell your Workshop for 1 Coin

**NOTE: You don’t have the place the workshop to use the Deco Studio! You can just click “Create” in the market without having the workshop building on your farm!**

How Deco Studio Works: Overview

• Just like in Dream Horse Studio, Deco Studio allows you to choose pieces to create your own buildings with the colors and decorations that you want.
• Unlike Horse Studio, you can buy your dream building with items you collect, rather than only using Farm Cash.
• The number of items you need to gather to create your building will vary according to what type of building you choose to design, and how sophisticated your building is.

Gathering Items to Build Your Dream Building

There are four types of items you will need to gather to build your dream house:

• Tool Bag
• Wood Logs
• Paint Chips
• Builders

How to Get These Items:
There are four ways to get Tool Bags, Wood Logs, and Paint Chips.

• Ask: Send a request to your friends for the items
• Feed: Click on the feeds of your friends who are sharing parts
• RECYCLE: You now have the option to RECYCLE items on your farm in exchange for parts! More on this later in the guide.
• Buy: Buy parts for Farm Cash. Prices:

-Tool Bag: 2 FC each
-Wood Log: 2 FC each
-Paint Chips: 4 FC each

For the more advanced blueprints, you’ll gather these items instead of some of the items listed above:
-Brick: 4 FC
-Tile: 6 FC

Hiring Builders:
In addition to gathering items for your dream house, you also need to hire a crew of builders to put your house together! You can do this in two ways:

• Ask: Ask your friends to help you by posting a request to your feed
• Buy: Hire builders for 2 FC each

**REMEMBER: The number of each item you need to complete your building will vary depending on which elements you add to it.**


Recycling Items in Exchange for Parts

As stated above, you can now recycle items on your farm and receive parts in exchange. When you click “Recycle” in your Deco Studio, the items eligible for recycling on your farm will be highlighted in blue:

Unlocking New Blueprints

There are five types of buildings, or Blueprints. that you can design and build using Deco Studio:

• Shack
• Cottage
• House
• Villa
• Grand Mansion

Some things to note about unlocking blueprints and placing completed buildings:

• When you complete one blueprint, you unlock the next one. 
• You must complete one building for a given blueprint before you can unlock the next one. However, you can sell or store your buildings once you create them if you don’t want to have them all out on your farm at one time!
• Each level also unlocks different design elements to go with the new building (so, for example, there are more door and window design options available on the Villa layout than the House, Cottage, or Shack layouts.) 
• There is no limit to the number of buildings for each blueprint that you can design and place.

Designing Your Dream House
Once you’ve selected a blueprint, it’s time to design your house! There are three tabs of customizable options for your building:

• Design: Allows you to select different building elements such as roofs, windows, and doors for your building.
• Decoration: Allows you to select fun “extras” for outside your house, such as chimneys, lawns, flowers, animals, or even fireworks!
• Colors: Allows you to paint your house, roof, and other building elements such as balconies. NOTE: Colors do not cost any Farm Cash or parts to customize!

Placing Your Building

After you have designed your building the way you want it and have acquired all the parts necessary to complete it, the “Build” button will turn green. Click it to place your building on your farm. If you don’t want to place your building at that time, simply change the mouse tool back to “Multi Tool” and your building will be placed in your gift box for later.
